Code of Ethics Policy


Mount Dora Farms has provided high quality products for over three decades. Established in 1986, Mount Dora Farms is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seaboard Corporation, a diversified international agribusiness and transportation company with annual sales of over US $6.0 billion.



Based in Houston  and Honduras, Mount Dora Farms specializes in the processing of jalapeno peppers. We are able to provide peppers in halves, strips, slices, mash, puree and diced. Set in a brine preservative, we can ship our product throughout the world. We are the largest supplier of pepper halves to snack processors in the United States and Europe.


Mount Dora Farms provides each customer with a high level of attention, constant communication, expert knowledge and the drive to provide service that is unsurpassed. For more than a quarter of century, these characteristics have defined our quest for quality. We focus on each customer individually and strive to meet all of your needs.


At Mount Dora Farms, we're not satisfied until we're sure our customers are receiving the freshest and safest products on the market. To make sure we're getting this done, we launched a HACCP (Hazard Analysis/Critical Control Points) program to go along with the up-to-date Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) we use every day.


Our HACCP program is based on the FDA Guide to Minimize Microbial Food Safety Hazards for Fresh Fruits and Vegetables, and the IFPA and WGA Voluntary Food Safety Guidelines for Fresh Produce. We've received the full cooperation and commitment from our local management and associate producers, and most of our key personnel have been trained in HACCP. Plus, an HACCP team at each location has identified the critical points in its operation.


To assure the correct implementation of the HACCP program, we developed an audit system that is carried out by our in-house Quality Assurance team, as well as by a biotechnological service lab in the locality of the project. The audit system enables Mount Dora Farms food safety program to meet the requirements of the US Department of Agriculture Quality Through Verification program.

Our main facility in Comayagua, Honduras is ISO 9001-2008 compliant for packing and commercialization of jalapeƱo peppers. Click Here for a copy of our Quality Management System certificate issued by ICONTEC.

Not only are safety and quality important to Mount Dora Farms, but so is security. We are a certified partner (No. B126F880) in the U.S. Customs - Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and are proud to be making a contribution towards the free flow of international trade.
