Port of Miami Cold Storage, Inc. (POMCS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mount Dora Farms, operates the only refrigerated warehouse at the Port of Miami. With over 40,000 square feet of cooler space, POMCS can service both import and export products and perishables. A USDA certified facility, we can maintain temperatures as low as 34 degrees fahrenheit for a variety of chilled products

Although we emphasize handling of seasonal (winter and spring) imported produce, our "year-round" staff is able to service a variety of cargoes at any time of the year. We can handle cargo received by any of the more that forty (40) shipping lines that regularly call at the Port of Miami.

Using our wireless bar-coding system, POMCS can supply an inventory to each customer every morning before 8:00 am.

Set inside the Port of Miami's entry gate, which is manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week, we also secure our warehouse through the use of a camera system that is monitored, along with other seaport facilities, on a 24/7 basis. The entire seaport was certified as ISPS security complaint by the U.S. Coast Guard on July 1, 2004.
